Tofu Nuggets


Ingredients: * extra firm organic tofu (15 Oz) * liquid aminos or soy sauce * maple syrup * cumin * garlic powder * turmeric * almond meal * crushed cornflakes

Procedures: 1. First you have to drain the liquids out of the tofu and press it lightly so that the block does not get squished 2. Cut the block into tiny blocks of about half an inch 3. Then take a glass container and put inside of it: 1/2 a cup liquid aminos, 2 tbsp. Maple syrup or sweetener of choice, Garlic powder, Cumin, and Turmeric 3. Mix it all up and add in gently the tofu blocks 4. Close container and rotate and shake gently to cover all the tofu blocks with marinade ​5. Put in fridge for 6-8 house and rotate and shake gently every 2 hours 6. Take a flat container with a lid and add the “breading” I use: 3/4 cups almond meal and 1/4 cup crushed corn flakes 7. When the 6-8 hours are up I take the marinated tofu and gently transfer it to the “breading” mix and shake it in that container gently until it is all covered 8. I transfer it to a baking sheet and use a silicone mat 9. I add a bit of avocado oil over all of it to help crisp it up 10. Place in oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes, than flip it and cook it another 15 minutes or until brown and crispy
