Sushi in 3 Easy Steps

◗Ingredients (~ 3 rolls):

2-2.5 cooked rice (or any grain of your choice)

Any veggies or plant based protein of your choice, I used:

- 1/2 an avocado

- 1 small sweet potato

- 1 small cucumber

- 1 small carrot


◗Procedures:

1) Cook your rice or any grain of your choice until a bit over done so it is a bit mushy

2) Cut up your veggies and / or plant based protein to thin strips and cook whatever veggies or plant based protein needs to be cooked.

3) Prepare the sushi roll by putting the nori sheet on a flat surface (best if you have a sushi rolling mat) with the rough side of the nori sheet facing up; next put around 3/4 or a cup of rice on the nori sheet and spread it out tightly leaving about an inch without rice at the top (wet your hands before spreading), then add on the bottom third all the fillings of your choice, roll the nori sheet tightly from the bottom up (using the mat to help you) pressing the vegetables in-words.

4) Cut up the roll into 8 even slices and enjoy with some tamari sauce (or soy sauce), wasabi, or pickled ginger.
