Light Mashed Potatoes


Ingredients: * 1 medium onion  *  1/2 head of cauliflower *  3 medium potatoes *  1 tsp salt *  1 tsp garlic powder *  1/2 tsp of pepper *  1-2 tbsp of nutritional yeast


Procedures: 1)Dice the onion, and chop the cauliflower and potato to large chunks 2)warm up a pot, add a splash of water, and sauté the onion for 5 minutes until becomes translucent, add water as needed to deglaze the pan (sautéing the onion adds a nicer flavor) 3)Then add to the pot the chucks of potato and cauliflower, add more water, close the lid and let it steam (make sure you have enough water to steam the potatoes and cauliflower) 4)Use a fork to check when it is soft; once soft transfer to a large bowl 5)Then using an immersion blender or a potato masher mash everything together until the consistency you like. 6)Then mix in the spices and serve to enjoy
