Homemade Granola Recipe- Oil Free & Gluten Free


Ingredients:

2 cups of oats

3 tbsp chia seeds soaked

5 medjool dates

¼ cup of roughly chopped walnuts

¼ cup of almonds chopped

¼ cup coconut flakes

¼ cup pumpkin seeds

(and any other nuts, seeds, or dried fruit you would like to add)

1 tbsp ground flax seeds

2 tsp vanilla

1 tsp cinnamon

Procedures:

1. Make a date paste from 5 medjool dates by removing the pit from the dates, soaking them in a bowl with lukewarm water for 20-30 minutes, make the paste by blending them with about 3 tbsp or ¼ cup of the water they soaked in (you can also mash them using a fork)

2. Soak 3 tbsp chia seeds with ¼ cup of water for 20-30 minutes until they become gelatinous

3. Pre-heat your oven to 320 °F or 160 °C.

4. In a large bowl, add the oats and soaked chia seeds and mix together until well combined.

5. Add in the date paste you made and mix well.

6. Add all the nuts and seeds (you can choose to use any nuts, seeds or dried fruit of your choice); mix it all together

7. Add the ground flax seed, cinnamon and vanilla and finish

8. Transfer it over to a pre lined baking pan and flatten it out (use a larger pan as it crisps up more)

9. Bake in oven for ten minutes intervals for a total of 40 minutes, taking it out every 10 minutes to mix around.

10. Once it is done, let it cool completely and transfer it into an airtight container to store
