10 Minute Heavenly Chocolate Cake


Ingredients:

For the Cake

* 1 ¾ flour of your choice (I use white spelt flour)

* ½ tsp baking powder

* ½ tsp baking soda

* ¾ cup cacao powder 

* 1/3 cup brown sugar

* 1/3 cup white sugar

* 1 ¾ cup plant-based milk

* ¾ cup oil (I use avocado oil)

For optional chocolate drizzle:

* 100 grams vegan dark chocolate

* 1 tbsp oil

* ¼ plant-based milk

Procedures: 1. Start by adding all the dry ingredients except the sugar to a bowl and mixing it together 2. Then in a larger bowl add the sugar, then the plant-based milk, and the oil and mix well together after adding each ingredient. 3. Next, slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet ones and mix, I added it in 3 parts. Continue mixing everything until it is well combined and there are no lumps. 4. Then lightly oil a cake pan, I do this by adding a dab of oil to a napkin moving it through the whole cake pan 5. Add the batter into the cake pan, and pop in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 Celsius) for 25-30 minutes 6. Meanwhile, take some dark vegan chocolate and using a potato peeler create chocolate shavings to put on the cake (this is of course optional, but looks nice and adds more chocolate flavor). 7. Also prepare some chocolate sauce to drizzle on top of the cake by adding to a bowl 100 grams of vegan dark chocolate (break it into squares), add 1 tbsp of oil and a ¼ cup of plant-based milk and melt in microwave for 10-15 seconds. Take it out of the microwave and mix it up. 8. Then check on the cake, to check if ready put a fork in the cake and if it comes out clean it is ready. 9. Finally, move the cake onto a serving plate and cover it with the chocolate drizzle and top it off with the chocolate shavings.
